Traditional Artistry

Nearly Women
These young women requested I take their photograph when they saw my big camera. I am careful not to take pictures of people without their permission and I rarely ask so I was obliged to do so. I feel honored be able to share pictures of the many beautiful friendly people I met all over Sri Lanka.

Seashell Collector
After spending the day visiting beaches via motorbike on the northeastern side of Sri Lanka, my guide brought me to a village not accessible to tourists. We were met on the beach by a man who collected the most gorgeous seashells. I was compelled to purchase all of them.
